Nara Chandrababu Naidu Visited Singapore

Andhra Pradesh Former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will be leading a high-level delegation to Singapore to attract investment. Beginning tomorrow, it would be his first foreign visit after becoming the Chief Minister for the second time.

Former Prime Minister of Singapore Goh Chok Tong, during his visit here on September 8, had extended an invitation to Chandrababu Naidu to visit the city-state, while saying that Singapore was interested in investing in airports, tourism, ports, and the industrial sector in Andhra Pradesh. Singapore has also offered assistance in constructing the new capital, besides developing 'smart cities'. The TDP Government had ruled the state for more than a decade with the help of many Top TDP Leaders and Best TDP MLA Candidates.

Andhra Pradesh Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who is in Singapore to participate in the World Cities Summit Mayors' Forum (WCSMF), invited investors for the development of the city of Amaravati into a world-class capital. At this summit, he said that “The best cities in the world will be from India and Amaravati will be one among the top 5 in the world”. And he met Singapore’s Minister of National Development, Lawrence Wong, who stated that the greenfield city provides a golden opportunity for well-planned growth.

Appreciating the uniqueness of the land pooling scheme in Amaravati, Wong added that Singapore is willing to supply the latest technology and ideas to the greenfield city. Chandrababu thanked Singapore for completing the master plan in record time, adding that Amaravati will not just be an administrative capital, but will also be an economic hub.

Responding to the Minister of Singapore Wong’s query on the time frame for the development of Amaravati, our Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that around 30 million sqft of land is already under construction. The Singapore Minister Wong again added that tenders worth Rs 30,000 crores have been sought.

Chandrababu said that the development of Amaravati will be inclusive of all sections of society and is a people’s capital. The Government is still overcoming the disadvantages of bifurcation. He also attended the World Cities Summit Mayors Forum, where 120 mayors and representatives of 165 cities were present. Minister Wong welcomed all participants and said that the meeting is held every two years and leads to understanding all challenges and best practices.

“Our state is still overcoming difficulties and working towards our vision of being one of the best destinations by 2050. We have been consistently maintaining double-digit growth, and we are number one in Ease of Doing Business. We are working with goals, like a well-established power grid, water grid, fiber grid, trunk infrastructure, and more. We are providing reliable power at a reasonable cost and this will help us nurture a manufacturing hub in our state,” he said.

Nara Chandrababu Naidu said, Claiming that Amaravati will have advanced transport infrastructure, in our formula is the 5-10-15 minute policy for Amaravati. People should reach their destinations in 5 minutes for an emergency, 10 minutes for social infrastructure, and 15 minutes on foot to their workplaces. "The capital region will have 9 cities and a blue and green city. We are engaging the best companies and the world’s top architects in building our infrastructure,” he added

Among other things, Chandrababu Naidu and his team will inspect the waste-water treatment system in Singapore which the government wants to bring to Andhra Pradesh, official sources said. The Institute of South Asian Studies has also invited Chandrababu Naidu as a special guest at the annual South Asian Conference to be held in Singapore. During the three-day visit to Singapore, the Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu will also hold business conferences and meet industrial heads to seek investments.

The Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana, Parakala Prabhakar (communications), Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, AP government's Special Representative in New Delhi Kambhampati Ramamohan Rao, state government advisers J Satyanarayana (information technology) and other top officials will be part of the delegation. Representatives of the Confederation of Indian Industry will also accompany the Chief Minister. The TDP Contributions made by the government have become Top TDP Achievements.
